The Olympics are an expensive money loser for the taxpayer. Chicago is already bankrupt it's lucky for them Obama couldn't close the deal.

The sole purpose of the Chicago Olympics would be to further grease the palms of the Daley machine at the expense of the taxpayer.

That's why I cheered when Obama failed to bring home the bacon to his Chicago masters.

Not a socialist, but yes, quite happy Chicago didn't get it. Live in the city mind you, a city that is facing a rather large deficit, with a Mayor who tore up Meigs Field in the middle of the night to build the park he always wanted, who cannot finish said park because of no money, with a Mayor, who sold off the parking meters, so those living in the city will be paying double if not triple the previous rate, a Mayor who endorsed raising sales tax to over ten percent and who still is against law abiding citizens being able to keep a handgun in their house, while illegal guncrime is running rampant.

No thanks, have the Olympics somewhere else, we have enough problems as is!

I could care less if Chicago gets the Olympics...That city has plenty of problems it needs to address before it worries about welcoming the World...It is a corrupt bankrupt city....

I have a real problem with the tax dollars that were waisted flying two 747s to Copenhagen for the "Messiah" to pitch Chicago. I also have a problem with the "green" folks wanting people to pee before boarding while the "green" President spewed more CO2 on his trip then any amount of peeing before boarding can offset. The hypocracy of the "green" movement continues....

However, you have no problem with Presidents spending billions on unnecessary wars. Talk about hypocrisy.
