Does anyone have any info on the flight department at AirGas?

My friend who works there informed me that they do in fact have a flight department to fly around the Corp. Execs.
My guess would be that they fly out of DPA but I cannot be sure.

I am just wondering because I may have a entry level job there as a chemical loader, and if they do have a flight department I would like to get my foot in the door.

Being armed with the info would only help here.

Thanks,

I'm not aware of them (that certainly doesn't mean they don't exist)...

But, on the other hand, if they do exist and operate jet aircraft I think your best bet would be to rack up some time as a CFI before you put all your eggs in their basket. Even as an "insider" they will still have minimum experience requirements to meet.

Good Luck!

Oh, I understand what you are saying and I wasn't thinking I would be getting "inside" with them at a lower total time than I am at now. I am instructing now and I will continue to do so, but I would like to get my name out there now as opposed to later

Sounds like a good plan, good luck to you...

Just wanted to be sure you didn't have any unrealitsic expectations... We have seen that plenty of times on this board.

Where are you CFIing out of now? KDPA?
