I am contemplating travelling out to (LAS) for New Years with some friends. I have a few buddy passes however "attempting" to get to LAS on them doesn't overly excite me, especially this time of the year with the higher loads on that route. (PIT) to (LAS). I am a former DAL employee so I would have to commute through either ATL or CVG to use the buddy passes which also doesn't completely thrill me this time of the year.
Any ideas or suggestions on getting "lower" or "cheap" last minute airfare.??? Is there any special trick to pulling this off that you are aware of........
I tried priceline.com and cheaptickets.com but no joy-0
Also, just for curiousity >>> can a 135 pilot, with company photo id with date of hire and employee number, current medical, FT105 sheet to prove credentials, in uniform, blah , blah , blah
ANY possibility of getting a non-rev seat in the back from the gate agent IF there is an "empty seat"..... Just curious what the probability would be that they would welcome you above even if you are not on that so-called "list".??
At DAL we would usually allow pilots to sit in the back IF the captain ok'd it even if they were not on our list and I was just curious if anyone else could touch on this.????
Thanks ahead of time for the responses and a very Merry Christmas to all..
