I saw a Gulfstream sitting in LIS the other day tail # N88d . I was curious as to whose it was so I did a search and could only come up with who owns it and not who operates it.... Any ideas on how to go about finding out this info?
PS- not sure if this is is the right forum or not. Sorry about that.

I don't have a subscription, but you could go here. I think the cost is about $2500 per year for N-Number lookup service. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I'm not going to go into it here...but N88D has significance in it's inclusion of drug mutations. Do a bit of research and you'll come up with N88D. There is no reason to specifically give up who actually operates that plane. Someone else can squeal that info for ya.

I found something that says TAG Aviation, Switzerland, not sure if this is current.

If anyone has read the book "Ghost Plane" by Stephen Grey, I think this plane is hard to trace because it is ran by the CIA and is used to transport terrorist prisoners overseas. They use that company name as a front to make it hard to trace. It has a switzerland tie because they always stop there to avoid international laws. Good book to read by the way. It is non-fiction.

Since RVSM authorizations are issued to the operator and not the register owner, you can also check the RVSM Approvals List if you want to find out who the operator is.

caseyd...

They apparently lost $1.3 billion back in 1998, so the sub-prime loss is most certainly a mickey-mouse one this time...
