I'm interested in getting a Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate to remain current in IFR flight planning W&B, as I am not having any luck in finding entry level employment as a CFII.

Would you recommend this or offer any suggestions in keeping my aviation knowledge up?

Thanks!

There are many schools in the US that offer training programs that result in obtaining an FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate.

Here is one school: Michigan Michigan Institute of Aeronautics that offers a training program.

I have a dispatcher certificate, but got it through another school. It's very useful as a backup, or in case you lost a medical, or as in your case, jobs aren't plentiful. I have not worked as a dispatcher, but I can put you in contact with people who have, if you are interested.

Dispather certificate

I graduated shefeild school in Ft Lauderdale, FL. Great school, tough course but will prepare you well for the real world. They also have good job placement schools since many airlines preffer to hire their graduates.
