That is fine but if your planes are not ETOPS then the certificate does you no good, I find it hard to believe that abx would buy pace for that or any reason
 
Maybe they want the 75s and possibly the 733s (though the price would have to be pretty compelling on these).

They're all leased anyway. Besides, all but 1 757 and all of the -300s have gone back to the leasing compnay, I think.
 
Be Paranoid

I am not saying this to be a pain, I would be very paranoid of any new certificate being a dodge for labor contracts. You just never know and these days management is motivated to save cost no matter what.

The ETOPS theory makes no sense to me, type up a program start some mx tracking and 1 month later if you are already a 121 you can be ETOPS. If a company does not have the expertise to create a program then there are plenty of hired guns that can do the job for far less than buying a company.
