"Air Wisky" died when they took consessions and the 146's left the property. Air Wisconsin is the name now, nothing special about it.

Air Wisconsin is a good place to be. We have an excellent contract, pay is good, you get treated well, company is looking to grow. Also there the movement is fairly quick, as we have a steady flow of captains leaving for bigger and better things. The company is trying to grow, only time will tell if that happens. As can be expected, some guys are pi$$ed about having to commute half way across the country when the United flying went away, but as a whole, its a great group of people. Drawbacks would be the domiciles, and the schedules, which need ALOT of work, but IMO it is a great place to be...

Pros and Cons on this place?

Pros: Near if not the top of 50 seat FO pay & good workrules even under concessionary contract, full pay during training, new CEO that seems to want to grow the airline.

Cons: Movement not as fast as RAH/SKW, crappy/expensive east coast bases, huge mistrust of management after UAL/concessions debacle, gawdawful schedules, MARG-NO.

All that said I'm very happy here; there are alot worse places I could be.

Used to be the only reginonal with aircraft with 100 seats...

Now the only regional with only 50 seat aircraft...

We HAD an excellent contract. Now we have a contract that is barely above average. It is a good place to be but don't sugarcoat this POS CBA we have in place now.

I've heard that it is hard to commute to work with the schedules. Is that the case or does it depend on where you live (I'd be out of ORD)? OR is it the case that it is hard to bid a commutable schedule? Too early of a start or too late of an end?

The schedules suck, though chicago at least should not be as horrible a commute as other places from the midwest. (you have US, American, and United) Most lines will have an early start or a late end, with some having both. (they suck, and there are a bunch of them this month.. at least in PHL)

XJT never flew 100 seaters, I was pointing out that we are not the ONLY regional with ONLY 50 seaters, as XJT has only 50 seaters as well...
