That is incorrect. I have a 134** number and an upgrade has not reached me yet. Although there are quite a few who passed upgrade, and more that will.

Also the speculation of Midex taking longer was the day Airtran made their announcment. Since then Midex has publicly stated that they are not interested.

I have a 144 number. I guess I have a ways to go.

I passed on the upgrade because commuting to RSV on the east coast is a nightmare. Since we are fat our CA's are not flying. When things pick up again I think I might upgrade.

So what's the deal with FO's passing on the upgrade....the CA I'm flying with right now just did OE for a new CA that has a 136** number....AdSo, that means we are getting close........

I just sit patiently with my arms crossed and my mouth shut. I think the captians are getting pissed because they have to put the gear down themselves. ;)

Hey guys, Looking for a little info if you can help? Just wanted to know what's going on with the concessionary grievance? Last I heard it's went to the arbitrator. Is K. F. still MEC chairman? Thanks for the update!

13,6..........Sh!t I wish, that'd be my class. I'm a 13,5 and I don't plan on getting an award for at least another 3-4 months. Remember we did a bunch of hiring in '04, with 2 classes a month of around 15-20, at times.

Those senior FO's passing up the left seat fall into 2 categories. There are those that don't want to upgrade because their spouse earns the cash and they value quality of life over the left seat, the others don't want a sh!tty 2/3 leg commute to ORF, so they're holding out until they can hold RSV in DCA or PHL.

We all know how good they are at looking into the crystal ball but the fact that most of the instructors have gone back to the line says a lot about how much training they expect to do over the next few months.

Personally i'd bet my paycheck we don't get Midwest. Nothing that has happened here, that could be considered remotely good, has been talked about in advance.

I try and avoid that cesspool like the plague, so no.

oh and didn't the union say that it wasn't going to shared for long.???

We all still have jobs though.... a contract.... a home for our planes.... and a paycheck that clears. Just thought I'd throw something positive out there.

Merry Christmas!

your welcome murph! err ahh i mean Wes....by the way been on rsv since may...

Right, so I was on reserve end of May-end of Oct. (5 months) while you and some others have been May-at least Jan. (8/9 months). Did I not count right?

Hey Talespin,
No new news on the arbitration. I think the latest rumor is that we "might" hear something by February, but who knows. As far as KF still being the MEC, I believe he spells his name with a "C", but if that's who you're talking about, then yes he is still the MEC.

For all of you AWAC people who think we have it so bad, take a look around and be happy that you work with a pilot group that isn't willing to race to the bottom like the rest of the regionals. Our work rules are nothing to be proud of, but they are still the best in the regional industry and our pay rates are much better than most. And as most of you know, pay rates are only half the picture anyways. As far as benefits, such as our 401k, it seems to be unmatched, even at a lot of major airlines at this time. We do not subsidize the company's growth. If they want to grow, and trust me they want to grow just as bad as we do if not worse, than they can put up the cash to do so. I'm sick of the argument that pilots need to take pay cuts to stay "competitive".

The bottom line is I'm just as sick as anyone at this company with the schedules and the other issues we have. I would like to upgrade tomorrow just like anyone else, but there is a certain amount of respect that I have for myself than to work for some company who's pilot group thinks they need to stay "competitive" by flying around 70/90 seat airplanes for McDonald's rates with absolutely no work rules so that they can upgrade in 2 years. That's embarrassing that anyone would do that and they're taking the rest of us decent people down with them, as well as major airline jobs.

Alright I'm done. I probably shouldn't get on here after I've been drinking. :)

Our work rules are better than many mainline carriers. Ask a UAL or US what their rig is. Just some more positives

Further proof that management is lacing the cabin air with hallucinagens.

Some other great seeds planted through history:

"We'll never leave DIA"
"We're Uniteds' favorite"
"We're a Regional Airline, not a Commuter"
"I'm buying a new truck when we win our lawsuit"

Not hallucinagens just my observations. We had a US Air mainline guy in the jumpseat and he started telling us what his rig, min day off, etc were. He then asked about ours.

Ioh and didn't the union say that it wasn't going to shared for long.???

There is a hold up on the permits to start the work on the PHL shared crew room changing it over to an AWAC only room, (PHL airport guys at it's finest see Subway!!).

Also when it is done the hangar one is closing (fire marshall wants it gone badly as only one exit route incase of a fire).

They also have to find a room somewhere to move the CHQ and PDT stuff (maybe that is where the old furniture will go too?!) so don't hold your breath!!

That one is yet to be seen. We'll see if UAL can make as much profit with CRJ's going up the hill as they did with the BAe's.

Denver will be continue to be the largest pilot domicile in the future

future is good for 8 years but after that who knows. Our fearless leader is now 0 and 4 for getting new flying. Same great thing that happened at Skyway and Delta now has happened 3 more times in one month. No new flying but hey you are doing a damn good job!
Morale is really low but we do have a great contract
