DR. B,

Did you find out all you wanted to know about Air Wisconsin? I don't care that you posted it here(under Fracs), just let me know if there was anything you wanted to know about. I will be glad to help--everyone here has definately been great at answering my questions.

Did I miss something?

Unfortunately for you Dr. B, reading is a requirement......

So is the proper use of grammar, "Griz". Read on.......

.........that this is forum is for discussion of fractional ownership companies.

Huh? What? Speak English fool; you're in America now.

I might suggest looking for a forum that has "Regional" somewhere in the title.

Now, maybe it has been moved since it began, but this IS the "Regional" forum. If it has been moved, then I apologize in advance. At least you can openly read my apologies; unlike the big, bad “Griz”.

Enjoy the rest of your discussion.

I dont understand how someone is tired of the long upgrade at AWAC already. He obviously has been there at least a few months and they are still hiring. If he got hired last fall he is at least a line holder now. Where would you go that is faster?

I heard last night from a check airman that 26 pilots flat out quit because of the Denver domicile closure. That's something for quicker seniority. Sounds like a lot of sobering up from the days of, 'We're Uniteds favorite and we'll always be in Denver'.

26 pilots huh? Just like that....I think whoever you heard this from pulled this out of their a.ss. The base hasn't closed yet, and as far as all of the pilots know won't until the end of July, hardly any reason to quit right now. But I do think we will see people quitting in the future over this whole Denver thing. AD

I don't know about 26, but I heard 12 quit on the Friday it was announced from the lead instructor (CL-65) who was on my jumpseat. He said the last thing the company wanted was to close Denver and Atlanta. They anticipate tremendous training cost associated with the closures. The company is planning on 700 status changes as a result of that announcement. United is paying for all of the displacement moving costs, and the company is looking at pulling Cl-65 training out of Denver and moving it to Chicago. Bloodbath.

I have an interview at AWAC in a couple of weeks, Ive heard the written has changed from the gouge on avinterviews.com. I know the fuel system question is back.

anybody have any gouge on the new written test?

Hey look guys, it worked - they moved it!!!

ANYWAY...the gentleman who replied to my post first answered most of the questions I had in mind. I already like the company's equipment and pay, but the fact that there is not much fleet growth, and bases are closing pretty much makes me think about steering clear.

I am still hopeful that I might get a call from Options or Netjets, but after almost 18 months and no news...I am thinking of other possibilities.

All I know is that I am ready to move out of the freight biz...

c-wood,

They are in a transition with the interview because of Justin Gartner's departure from the company. The fleet managers are running the interviews. From what I've heard, they are going to be changing the written test very often. Also, expect a few more tech questions than previously. Good luck.
