From what I saw, AWAC was providing some financing, but not merging with them.

I don't even know how America West will merge with US Airways in terms of pilot intergration. I think America West has only been around for 18 years..... and the most junior guy at Airways has about 18years... this will be a interesting pilot merger...

Hopefully they'll merge by percentile, so no AWA guy gets furloughed at the expense of a US guy that is already furloughed.

Its not a merger, air willy will replace the feed that mesa provided. Mesa moves to DAL and UAL and air willy moves from UAL to whatever the he11 the new usairways/amwest airline is going to be called. Just another day in paradise.
