A few questions:

1) How many more aircraft are on order? United growth?

2) IAD as a new domicile? How soon?

3) Anyone getting the BAe-146 as a newhire?

4) The age-old question...should I stay put and build PIC time in a few months, or leave and go to a top regional like AWAC.

5) Anyone else interviewing in the next few weeks, PM me.

1) How many more aircraft are on order? United growth?

April 4th we added our 53rd and 54th aircraft to the United side. We have more on the property but just aren't online yet. Bottomline 6 more CRJ's have yet to hit the line and need to be staffed. Growth after that is unknown. There are things that make it look like a real possiblity, but our owners are very conservative so who knows. One thing that is certain is that in 2006 United has the right to reduce our 146 fleet to 10 meaning a loss of 7 aircraft if they take that option., once again, who knows.

2) IAD as a new domicile? How soon?

All sign point to yes. Who knows, Skywest just announced a crew base in ORD, so maybe a plan has finally been revealed to all and our company can start making commitments to an IAD base......displacements are involved with what I assume will be the closing of the ATL base, they are being very careful, once again they're conservative.

3) Anyone getting the BAe-146 as a newhire?

Yes, I think 4 in the last class

4) The age-old question...should I stay put and build PIC time in a few months, or leave and go to a top regional like AWAC.

Your on your own with that one...depends on how many connections you have in place once you get the PIC......if your going to stay for the PIC don't stay for a few months....commit for the full 1,000, hell commit till you get out of the regionals!!!! To many variables at this level can screw up your master plan, has happen to me and plenty of my friends. Do you have bills to pay now?? If not, and you don't mind being broke I would stay put. You aren't going to get a quick upgrade here.

Interview, get a class date, alot can happen in 1 to 2 months which is when your class would be ( someone last week got a class for the first week of May), take one last look at it and it the decision is no let them know 14-16 days prior so someone else can have a crack at it. Good luck in the interview, there's good people up there, c-ya! AD

Thanks for the info AD!

Four guys in my new-hire class have already been awarded CA upgrade effective 4-19...so definately a quick upgrade here. I'm still torn, so i'll definately give it my best shot up in ATW for the interview. Seem like really nice people.

I'd go for the upgrade unless you want to fly at a regional for the rest of your career. If that's the case then Air Wisky is the regional to fly for if that's what you want to do. Good luck.
