Here is some information on the new hire class that started on 9/15.

Average total time: 3237

3 from Piedmont
2 from Mesaba
1 from Eagle
1 from Skyway
1 from National(furloughed)
1 from Lakes

As of right now, Air Wisconsin will have a new hire class once a month until April 2004. Each class will have between 12 to 18 pilots.

Good Luck!

Those are bigger classes than originally posted. Is ZW planning some other expansion/codeshares? Is there a plan to shift the aircraft to something larger than crj-200's. ZW has become a lot more forward thinking since 9-11, and I would'nt be surprised at some new operational developements.

Good question. I, as an employee, would like to know. Our owners must be terriffic poker players.

Terriffic poker players they are, they bluffed the $hit out
of the pilot group with the new TA, it's a further discrace
to all the pilot groups including ZW. I'm impressed with the
IAM groups ability to not give in to ZW, I've heard all the
BS asscociated with it; so save it.

The morale from what I see has never been lower since
I've been there, flight attendants working ridiculous hours.
Our own union group doing little to nothing to support
current union contract rules in which scheduling never adhere's
to. Reserve pilots not given proper call out times to report.
The list goes on, and on and on.

This is perhaps why Frontier and AirTran are reporting (folks
I know there) record number of ZW pilot resumes. It's nice to see
more cities that were flying to, but only because of the decrease
in ACA flying in ORD and IAD. We only find out about these new
cities not by management, but every month the bid package
comes out. The last thing I remember coming from mgt. was
a PIF that said ZW had agreed to a unspecified fine from UAL
because they had not settled a contract agreement with IAM.
"Gee, I guess that makes sense." "Great morale booster, I
suppose I better run over to Maint. and tell them they better
settle, better yet!"

I'll ask them out for a beer and buy them a couple rounds,
cause as long as they don't settle, my reported 7% pay cut
doesn't go into the UAL coffer, I meant coffin.

The Snake is back :D

On the serious side, absoultly, having a strong IFR
backround is a must right now if your 135..:p

But if your serious about being a
Jane Fonda (Burning Bra's) and a Bill Clinton
fan (evading the draft).
I have no desire to fly with you.

Thrust Master?

That wouldn't be the artist formerly known as Jet Snake hiding behind a new screen name would it? If it is, send me a priv. mess. :D

What's up with you guys and Big U trying to squeeze more $$ out of your contract? Is this a "take a lower rate or you're outta here" kind of thing or what? Anyone think you'll really get dropped? Or, for that matter, pull out of the U deal?

And I've read on another thread that there's the suggestion that you may be asked to take FURTHER concessions. Is that true?

I think I might have a solid LOR headed my way for Air Whiskey and I'm wondering if it would be a good step, or if I would be setting myself up for furlough. Looking for a place I could park for a few years or possibly permanently, but when I hear of pilots leaving en masse because of pay or QOL concerns, I get a little suspicious.

Just looking for some perspectives... Any input appreciated.

No we have not accepted nor are we being asked for any further concessions.

The UAL deal was approved by the bankruptcy court last week pending getting the IAM in line also (every other party is on board) and as of yesterday the IAM have a TA which is to be presented and voted on next week.

UAL have also agreed and annouched that AWAC will be doing ALL UAX handling at ORD starting initially in a month or so and completely by start of 2004. It also seems that AWAC will more than likely be doing all UAX handling in IAD once ACA are no longer UAX.

So no AWAC aren't going away when it comes to UA, and before years out, and if rumblings from above are correct even another code share plus expanded AirTran.
