Been rumored nothing heard. Just like the NW, CO, etc rumors!! Add ERJ 190's to replace some 146's and ERJ 170's too and I think it's about covered :D

It's always a rumor until the last aircraft has been delivered and all crews have been trained and are online. Until then, plan for the worst, hope for the best. Here is a better rumor: maybe we will get cookies this year as a Thanksgiving Treat. Let's all start rearranging our lives over this hope!

This has been discussed on our company board and while we hope it is true it seems to me that this would be a clear violation of the scope clause since the Bae-146 seats 86-100 people depending on the model. I would point out that there aren't many other airlines that have the experience we do with the Dorniers though - perhaps some to Skyway and some to us? Who knows...

ASA used to have some BAe 146s with 100 or 105 seats I believe--but they might have been the only airline allowed to use them in the scope clause.

Bye Bye--General Lee

The way I understood it, the ASA 146's were the only ones allowed (up to a total of 20 if I remember)

Once they were gone, no one else, including ASA, could fly anything over 70.

Some of the more cynical (geee, here at ASA??) always thought George and John were instructed by DAL to get rid of the 146's before the buyout, thus ensuring no list merger.

I heard that UAL was going to pit ZW against Skywest and Mesa on this one.
Lets be fair here - they are doing it already and just for laughs they throw in a touch of Republic, $hitaqua, Trans-mistakes! This whole thing is going to hell in a handbasket quickly.
