It looks like United is trying to stick it to Air Whisky again. United has asked 15 companys to put in bids to ground handle 23 stations.

This isn't a surprise, the contract on the ground handling is up in Sept, so UAL needs to rebid for the handling.
 
Do you have idea if this has any direct relation with there flying. You would think that they united would want them to do both.

It has no relation to flying. Mesa flies for UAL and does no ground handling, neither does TSA, CHQ and SHuttle America.
