Unless you are working for AWAC right now, you can't get in, it requires a password, and is for AWAC current and former pilots only. Sorry.

Anything new on the UAL bid? I thought we were supposed to hear something this week.

We were informed that UAL was once again in ATW talking to the owners. They said that they expect a final answer in "the next few weeks". Everyone can stop holding their breath now.

United Puts More Air Wisconsin Business Up For Grabs

Source: Aviation Daily

United recently delivered another blow to long-time partner Air Wisconsin by asking 15 companies to bid on ground-handling at 23 stations currently performed by Air Wisconsin.

The move follows a request for proposals (RFP) United sent to 10 carriers in November potentially to fly 70 planes Air Wisconsin now operates. United said it's reviewing the proposals. Mesa, Air Wisconsin, Delta subsidiary Delta Global Services and SkyWest were among the 15 companies that received United's ground-handling proposal. "Both RFPs are part of a broad United effort to lower our operating costs wherever possible, while increasing performance levels," United said in an employee update. Feb. 9 is the deadline for companies to respond to United's RFP.

Jesus people are circling like vultures over this flying. Dont worry im sure a press release will be made when the announcement is made, until a press release comes out no one really knows IMO. Lets just hope when the release comes out its stating they get to keep their flying.

I'm pulling for them.... I think most of us are.

Previous quote removed beacuse I didn't read the entire thing from Aviation Daily. Yup, not looking so good for us right now. However I was heartened to see the Three Amigos say they have put together their own transition team to keep the airline going after United, as opposed to simply closing up shop.

I've been to the top secret ZW Pilot Lounge...also known as The Royal Order of Zzzzzzzz. You're missing nothing but a good nap.

23 stations? I thought it was only for Chicago!

What a bunch of dorks... I can understand if non-employees aren't allowed to post messages... but what's the big deal letting non-employees look around the Air Whisky lounge? We're not coooool enough I guess.

It's for Air Wisconsin pilots only. That's the way it was set up. That's the way it's administrated. What right do you have to look around?

Did it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe, given how competetive the bidding is that we may not want everyone to know what our management has told us and what we discussing amongst ourselves.

Get over yourself!

Does someone feel left-out D.sanchez??? Thanks for the "Dork" insult...

The board is also used to update pilots with company info and other stuff that pertains to our company. Go look at other lounges!

What our management told us:
"Everybody takes it in the culo or we're closing shop"

What our pilots discuss amongst ourselves:
"I don't want her, you can have her, she's too fat for me."

who cares

gee whiz,

i personally cannot imagine wanting to see another pilot groups "crew lounge" (message board) how boring would that be? "Oh you know, they changed the _______ to read _______." "Crew Scheduling did this to me..."

Wow, I don't know what is worse, the desire to read another message board so badly, or crying about not being able to do so...

maybe i'm weird.

oh, and "crashpad" you are hilarious! seriously

See, Cornbred figured out how to get on our board, he knows exactly what is written on there!
