Any info on Air Tran in regards to hiring and the latest on their new contract.

also have been hearing a rumor about an mco base, is this valid?, thanks

Rumor of MCO base true as per Chief pilot in Dec recurrent class.......unsure if virtual base - or actual base; with contract protections - they will have to fight the union on that one.

Hiring 288 for 2008 about 150 to 717 the rest to the 737...will be receiving 10 737 for 2008.

New contract.....no new news the new union president seems to building up a trying to form a stronger organization by sticking to the fundamentals: more volunteers, new attorney, new receptionist. Seems like things are progressing well but will take some time.

I talked to the CP the other day, They are interviewing guys that have no 121 time. All had turbine PIC.

Airtran is probably one of the companies least effected by the age60 rule change. All movement by growth.
