If I worked at AirTran, I would have to work with ghetto flight attendants, while at TSA I don't HAVE to work *with* other ghetto flight attendants who work here. If I worked at AirTran, I would have to serve passengers who are used to taking the bus and not a full service airline.

What makes you so "Great" while everyone else is "Ghetto"?

Ren--

y'know what.... I'm not gonna defend the "greatness" of TSA... cause honestly, it's NOT great! But TSA did pay me my full guarantee while I was in training, didn't make me pay up front for uniforms, I held a line in 2 months, and now after a year and a half-- I have holidays and weekends off, 14 days off a month, etc. That ain't too shabby. Sure I would leave Trans States in a heart beat-- BUT ONLY for something that pays me better and is nicer work environment.

If I worked at AirTran, I would have to serve passengers who are used to taking the bus and not a full service airline. At Trans States, I get the pleasure of serving some people who are actually kinda classy! So you see, for me coming from TSA, life is better here for me at this moment of time than it would be at AirTran.
And before you start bashing my professionalism and skills as a flight attendant because I've stayed at Trans States for so long.... I'm on my way out the door.... I have an interview on Monday with Continental, and I'm ready to knock 'em dead. Cause I'm JUST THAT GOOOOOD!!!:)
first of all you never ever trash another flight attendant. next, come on over to continental, you'll get an attitude adjustment real quick. especially in EWR. and if you have been in the business long enough you will know that EVERY airline gets its share of people of whom they would rather not deal with. it goes with the price of the ticket. you talk about class, well where is yours?

Hi!

I actually was hired at AirTran.... had a training class lined up, had my uniforms ordered, took the physical, yadda yadda yadda.... Then I opened my eyes and realized how GHETTO of an airline it is! So I declined training.

But anyways... They start off for the first six months at $18.56 per hour. 70 hour guarantee.

More questions?--- Head over to FlightAttendants.org and check out the AirTran F/A board.

You mean you accepted the job offer before you realized what the pay was? You mailed them an application, didn't you do any research, c'mon.....

Midnight Mike--- no, I knew what the pay was and I was ok with that. When I actually went to their offices in ATL and met non-flight crew employees and such... that's when I changed my mind about it all.

01onthe75-- take a chill pill. I wasn't trashing talking you. I am entitled to my own opinion of AirTran. My opinion is based on first hand experience and my impressions. Deal with it. And yes you can trash talk other flight attendants. You can trash talk ANYONE who deserves it. Get real!
And how dare you infer that I have no class because I say that I don't want to work with trashy people! That's kinda backwards!

You people really need to get over yourselves and stop being so aggressive!! OUCH! SIMMER DOWN!

you infer that you are THAT GOOD. hmm, then why aren't you in training with continental right now if you interviewed a month ago. next, you called EVERY flight attendant at Air Tran *ghetto*. that's pretty bold. remember, you get back what you put out. you must have been talking trash at your interview. I guess i feel a little bit more comradery for my fellow flight attendants and have just a little bit more respect. oh and as we say at continental.....Work Hard, Fly Right

Cheers

Perhaps I'm missing something, but waterskiette said she had an interview coming up "on monday" in a post from 1/13. To me that suggests the interview was on 1/16, the same day as your post, not "a month ago".

I'm not sure I understand your indignant "never trash another flight attendant" thing, either. This whole SITE is predicated on trashing other airline employees, why should FA's get a pass?

Either you can't see or can't read.

Or maybe you're a dolt who can't follow your own incorrect argument.

Read it again. You ask why waterskiette isn't already working for Continental if she had an interview a month ago. She never said she had an interview a month ago, she said she had one coming up and was looking forward to it.
