It's a BS story.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that it may be a little easier to understand why a man who claimed to have thwarted a potential terrorist attack on a plane has not answered repeated requests to tell his story. He was not on the plane, according to AirTran Airways.
“After conducting additional research into this situation, we have verified, according to flight manifests (legally binding documents) that the individual that allegedly created a first-hand account of events on-board AirTran Airways Flight 297, a Theodore Petruna, was never actually on-board the flight,” AirTran said in a statement, which the AJC was the first to obtain.

You guys clearly have a fundamental misunderstanding of our enemies, here.
They showed us on 9/11 that they are smarter than the characters in this fictional account. The hijackers were not wearing blatantly Middle Eastern dress, they did not have beards, and they were not running around shouting "Shut up, infidel dog!" If you choose to believe that prospective terrorists have all the intelligence and subtlety of a Bugs Bunny antagonist, you play right into their hands. While you're busy looking for a damned caricature, you run the risk of being outsmarted by a group whose M.O. is... and this is important, now... to avoid drawing attention to themselves.

You hit the nail right on the head. Unfortunately people still want to believe nonsense.

I heard today that the Captain and First Officer refused to get back on the flight if those pax got back on the plane. The pax did and the pilot's did not.

This story is obvious bs.... I am quite confident there are plenty of Muslim radicals that want us normal people dead. However, they are not going to scream " Infidel dog" at someone on a plane...... Or the "heros" being "Texans"..... the WHOLE story smells of 15 to 30 beers or someone in the ATL airport who had a very active imagination and did not like the diversity he/she witnessed while waiting for their flight.

Does the story of a boy that cried wolf mean anything?

Always good to be aware of ones surroundings..... just be smart and use the matter between the ears.
