Sounds like RW lit a 240 on fire lastnight at CVG. I'm glad he was on the ground when it happened, all CVG needs again in a smoking Convair hole!

Funny thing is Air Tahoma has four 580's in the US, and three DHL runs. How come they can't keep 580's on their three runs if they have an extra airplane? Could MX be the problem?!?

I bet DHL can't wait to get rid of them in the fall!

What time did that happen?....was everybody else pretty much gone by then?

I wonder if they had to scrub the ramp themselves to get all the charred transport-category aircraft residue off it?

maybe if the fire was big enough it burned it all off..I wonder if they called maint then flew to LCK or just flew it to LCK or drove to LCK to get that a$$ chewing for costing them money..

My buddy at Delta Air Elite FBO told me that when the engine caught on fire the Captain shut down the wrong engine! Was the Captain on this airplane the same one that signed off the Captain on the 580 crash? Didn't this same Captain also have an incident recently where he was in the jumpseat, two first officers were in the pilot seats, and they almost ran it off the runway? This guy is the only check airman at Air Tahoma, right?

Why isn't the FAA looking into this guy as well?

Sounds like the FAA isn't doing their jobs.

Funny, I always thought RW was a good piston pilot! Guess he's not as good as he thought he was. Kinda hard to blow out the fire with the other engine....

RW's no stranger to the 709(or 609 when he did one last), so I bet he's saying "bring it on, I have no fear!"

Didn't he get the last one for being in the jumpseat??

I'm sure NR is being proactive on this one too. Has (fired ATI employee) Chris jumped to the company's defense yet? At least this ATI fire happened on the ground.

I believe chris left the company to go back home to texas...... i guess he really misses his mom and NR and BR werent getting the job done.

So, CT was fired from ATI after boot-licking the roto-ruders and defending their un-ethical business practices that both endangered and took pilot lives? And he's working towards becoming a pilot? Does he think we'll accept him with open arms after that? Wow! What sort of happy juice did they put in Texas water?

At least they only fired him and didn't kill him by making him fly with a guy who busted several checkrides with other carriers before flaming out both engines thereby killing his co-pilot? This same guy who is now flying the line again?

Hey flyinyourshorts,

Your Avatar is great, it looks to me that the MAC has won. However you have to look closely to see it :)

Fly safe

I believe this is the same guy that signed off the pilot that crashed. this is also the same guy that would not give the captain of the airplane that crashed any more training when he begged for it.

Rick Williamson is the parrot on Bud's shoulder!!

The FAA should have took his tickets, his ratings, and any training and check authorizations a long time ago!!

It will be funny to see when he has no ship to sail down to Memphis anymore!!

Too bad the FAA won't hire him either!!

Anyone in here think it is strange that Rick Williamson is allowed to ride childern around in a bus on Sundays??

Shiver me timbers, he may be the next michael jackson!!

He, He!!
