Has anyone been to an of these Air Inc things? Wondering if it's worth it to go and how it works... Like, do you need cover letters for each company? Do you just show up and interview, or do you just "talk" to all these HR people? Thanks

Cover letters for each carrier would be helpful, sometimes interviews occur on the spot but they tend to be smaller carriers. Most of the time you just "talk" to the HR people, it helps put a face on the name. You get the "feel" of thier unpublished requirements. I've been to 10 or so of these as a flight department Rep. The whole thing helps motivate you and see that there is some hope

The Air Inc job fairs are a stop on your job search not a final destination.

Thanks for the info... How many people go to these things, a few or a few hundred. I guess I am wondering if it is worth going.

I was at the DFW one in January and there were several hundred there.

Sunchaser-

This will be my first AirInc conference as well. It is really hard to justify paying $200 to stand in line for hours. The meat and potatoes of the conference is the Job Fair on Saturday from 4pm to 8pm. You need to prioritize your airlines and get in line for your #1 choice. The only reason I am going to the AirInc one is because CAL is attending. They are only going to hire 300 or so street-hires, so, every little thing counts.
If you have some contacts and LORs for the airlines that are attending, and if you are qualified (hours, degree), then it might be worth your time. If not, you might just find that you are just another face amongst hundreds.
I would suggest that you attend an OBAP or WIA conference (no, you don't have to be a minority or female to attend). More airlines attend those job fairs and there are no lines to stand in.

Not to put you off, but do a search under Air Inc you will find alot of pros and cons.
