Anybody know if busting MAW will disqualify your application? Or is it just a black mark? Or is it anything at all?

Jeez you worry alot. Use some of that worrying as motivation to get yourself down under MAW.

FYI: The AF has decided to use BMI as the indicator, with a max BMI of 27.5. The max weights have changed based on BMI, in order to find your MAW, use this equation.

MAW = (27.5 * H^2) / 703 Where H = your height in inches.

You need to be under MAW before you go off to OTS. The word is that you will be weighed on the second day, if you fail the weigh-in, you will be taped; if you fail that, they will send you back to your sending unit or MEPS.

The AF is getting Fat on pilots, which means that ANY excuse to get rid of some will be used. So Don't give them any, like being undertall.
