I watched "The Sum of All Fears" last night and was wondering what that hump with an opening on top of Air Force One was?(It wasn't a refueling port) Thought maybe somebody knows a little about Air Force One.(747) Thanks!

I believe it is the refueling port. How do you know it isn't? If it's something secret, you will never find out unless you join the Air Force. Good luck.

Yes, that hump is the refueling port. There is only one other 747 that has it......ABL (Air Borne Laser).

Are you talking about the hump below the windscreen on the nose, or a radome on the top of the fuselage?? If it is the radome on the fuselage, it is not Air Force One, it is the E-4B, which is white with a blue stripe down the side. Although, both the E-4 and the VC-25 (Air Force One) have refueling receptacles on the top part of the nose. And true....all that stuff is nice and classified! ;)

My bad, thought you were referring to the other hump (one that does not open at all). Besides, the aircraft in the movie is actually the E-4B NAOC, not the VC-25A aircraft normally associated as Air Force One (but any a/c that president fly's on takes the call sign Air Force One).
