Air Force interview

i'm an officer candidate and going for an interview for the active duty air force and was wondering if i could get a heads up or any tips. any help is appreciated.

I think you're talking about the interview they give OTS applicants applying for slots. If so, I just had mine a few months ago, and can try to answer any questions you have.

The best tip I would give is to just relax and be yourself. The Lt. Colonel who interviewed me wanted to know about things I was involved in at school, why I wanted to join the air force, and what I thought my best and worst character traits were. He also asked what I looked for in a leader above me and how I would lead those below me. Just remember to be yourself and be genuine and sincere about what you say, don't try to give the answer you think they want to hear.

P.S. make sure you wear a suit and tie and that they are clean

That's funny! My Army Guard interview sounded almost the exact same as that! Tell me about yourself, why do you want to be in the Army, What are your strengths and weeknesses, why would you make a good officer, tell me about some of your accomplishments and failures, etc, etc. All seem to be standard questions. If you are ready for those, and RELAX (although my tail was pretty darn tight!) and don't B.S. them, you should be fine.

thanks for the help guys. what about the Basic Attributes Test. thats the only other thing I have to get done. how did you guys do on it and how much did they go over the personality stuff?

You never know how you did exactly on the BAT, that can only be determined loosely by how high your PCSM score is vs AFOQT and Flight Hours. As for the personality/psych stuff, they don't talk to you about it more than to let you know what it is. You just sit there and take it.
