Age 60 informal poll

I like the part in the new medical report where it says raising the age may actually increase safety by keeping the less experienced pilots out of the cockpit longer.

So then they're just older and still inexperienced when they get in the cockpit? Is an old inexperienced pilot better than a young one?

Sounds like that statment puts the intelligence of the whole report in question.

Sure they are, every family member (who really aren't in aviation probably) also responded, after the prodding of the senior Captain's wife. She doesn't want him home 24/7 yet. Just read some of the responses, they looked canned. Wow, if they all say that, then we must change it, yeah.....

You seem to enjoy making accusations that you have no evidence to support. The same argument could be made that about the anti change comments. If you talk to any congressional staffer, most letters, emails, etc. regarding any legislation is in a canned format.

Who cares... it still won't pass given the make-up of the new Congress.

Of course the whole DMS is rigged anyway - lots of posts weren't even included.... however we all know the results of ALPA's Wilson Survey, we all know how the MAJORITY of the airline pilots feel about messing with Age 60.

Enjoy your retirement Undaunted... if you want to keep going, time to dust off that resume and shoot it off to NetJets and Flexjet.
