Thanks for the tip. The FBO that I did my CFI training at, has 5 CFI's now and that is one to many, so they aren't hiring anytime soon. I will try to find a place ASAP to get this CFII and MEI done in the same ride.
As for job search; Now that my CFI is in hand, I've sent maybe 10 resume/cover letters out this week to local FBOS, Cargo companies, and even a regional or two. They went out Monday, as of today, still no word from anyone. I am thinking of following up mid next week with the FBO's and in 2 weeks with the regional / cargo carriers. The two regionals I applied at both had references of people I know that work there, so hopefully that helps (a little). I have a buddy who flies for a regional out of Chicago, who has low hours like me that got hired last year. He is going to get back to me with a contact name so I can send resume/cover letter in to them. I have to work on my instrument skills, I am afraid they are very weak now, and if I do get an interview, I am going to have to be sharp on them. So i guess I getting this CFII will help.
