Not sure that I qualify as a real pilot, but I spent almost a year in the Congo before I got so sick that there was a real chance that I was going to get buried there.

I'm glad there are a few of you "real" pilots left!!!!

I'll continue to "manage" my a/c, fly my trips, collect my nice salary and then go home to family, friends and enjoy my time off!!

someone should pull the plug on the nasty $hit infested place and let it sink into the ocean.

(OK, maybe cut off South Africa and let it be....the rest...see ya)

I seriously worry about people who have actually been to Africa and say they LIKE it. its not adventurous, its not cool, its not different, its not challenging.....

It's a nasty craphole. nothing more. 95% of the people there would slit your throat for $3. dont ever doubt it.
