Nightrider,

Last I heard they were operating a Falcon 50 and Sabre 65. Don't know the management but it is my understanding that you work at the hangar when not on a flight.

Sorry, don't know much about the pay either.

They had advertised for pilots a couple of times last year. Haven't heard that they are looking again so soon.

Do a search on this board and you might find more information.

Good luck.

hmmmm dont know about the flight dept but the duck is cool......

AFLAC

Last I heard they wuz getting another DA-50 and keeping the Sabre...

I LOVE THE AFLAC DUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND I LOVE THOSE COMMERCIALS!!!!!!!!!!!

Just an FYI for ya... they have been advertising and interviewing for a DA50 position, on and off, for about two years. At one point they were using a head-hunter agency to do the initial work-up.

A friend of mine interviewed there.

Ex-military management.

FYI

AFLAC has posted an opening for the DA-50 position on NBAA's AriMail site again. Wonder why its such a hard to fill position?

I hear about these flight dept's from time to time that require pilots to work nine to five when they aren't flying. Are these dept's common? Is there any good side to it or is the company just trying to squeeze the pilots? Are they expected to fly on the weekends? I think I would have to be hard pressed for a job before I would take a job like that. Am I missing something?

I think more than a couple Fortune 500 companies fly on weekends and even occasionally spending a few nights in hotels too.

Yeah but I doubt very many of them expect them to work a 9-5 day in addition to flying on the weekends.

I heard that they just purchased two used F50ex's

I do not have any specific info, but I can tell you they are based at CSG, and there are more than one DA50 typed pilots living in Columbus that have stated "I will not even consider working there". They offered no further commentary.
