Anybody have any more details, other than what is on the AF website, on the AFFSA C-21 crash in Ill on Tuesday?
PM's are fine.
From the Air Force news:
-Both pilots ok...minor injuries
-Plane skidded to a stop on the runway during training mission, fire ensued, fire department responded
-AFFSA C-21 based out of Will Rogers Air Guard Station, Oklahoma City, OK (The picture of the plane looked like a blue tail flash, not red like the AFFSA birds--didn't know there were planes in OK???)
Haven't heard anything else...first I heard of it was from this post!
AFFSA just moved/BRAC'ed to OKC. I retired from AFFSA just prior to the move and have flown the mishap acft many times.
AF News video stated that one of the pilots parents were at the airport watching the Touch-n-Go's and called them after they egressed the acft. Ouch, that could leave a mark!
I'm just happy that they got out okay.
