Was he wearing his cool ascot when he gave this speech? Ahahahahahahaha!
PS
Aaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Naaa...we trashed the ascot testing program to pay for more Raptors. I can't believe the Navy opted not the buy more ships in order to fund for more cool brown flight boots.
Still, the Air Force general added, "I'm less supportive of things outside our competency."
Spot the Army recruiter:
"You can earn money for college!"
"We will make you a warrior!"
"How bout we meet at my apartment later, drink some beer, fool around? Bring a friend or two..."
"Sure, kid, you can fly fighter jets!"
The following air force commercial is not intended to represent the pilots/navs who actually do a mission and go in harms way, it is representative of the service in general.
Spot the air force recruiter:
"You can earn money for college"
"You get to pretend to be an actual combat service because we have named most outfits something like the 123rd tactical combat warrior base supply squadron."
"We will make you a fatter and more worthless citizen by doing 0 physical activity, doing away with the PT test and replacing it with team building events like frisbee golf, instead of actual events which involve LEADING young men towards victory "
"You get to have bosses like Gen Mosely who b!&ch instead of tightening his belt (see previous point) and defending this country as the other services are doing by just making it work!"
The air force has absolutely no leg to stand on when it comes to b!&chin about providing bodies to do jobs they are not "trained" to do. What do yo think the Army and Marines have been doing for over 230 years? Why in our time of war is the air force's budget getting smaller when the Army and Marine Corps budget is getting bigger? Because the latter two are taking care of business while the former is taking care of business as usual...
Congratulating General Mosely by saying he is just doing his job because he is defending the status quo of the air force is not a valid argument. Instead of saying the current system is NOW broken because the air force is providing bodies for work outside of their training, maybe the real issue is that the air force for the first time in a long time is required to contribute to the ongoing war effort in any way possible. Over the years most who have joined the air force (again pilots/navs aside) have forgotten it is a military branch, not a welfare state whose mission is master degrees and intramural sports.
Budget Envy is a terrible thing...and it must be stopped...in out lifetime...The following air force commercial is not intended to represent the pilots/navs who actually do a mission and go in harms way, it is representative of the service in general.
