Does anyone know anything about this company?
Pay, treatment, professionalism, reputation, ownership, management, etc.?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Talked to Ben there Chief Pilot and was told they may be looking for a couple of FO's for there King Airs. MIns are 1500TT/300 Multi/Turbo prop time desired with pressureized time and must hold an ATP.
Pay is not good, for living on a beeper. $1500.00 a month flat rate. 200- 300 HRS a year flying. No Benifits
Sounds like a sell out for that salary to me.
Concord, CA and the surrounding Walnut Creek area is one of the most expensive places to live in the US. The median home price is somewhere over 400k and apartment rents are between $1500-$2000 a month. It doesnt get much better down in Oakland or the rest of the Bay Area. You need to make about 60k to live in the Bay Area and break even or find a place to live 2 hrs out of town in Stockton, Tracy, or up north of Napa Valley
Their ad says they want 4000 TT for their KA pilots and current simulator training. They also require a 1 year contract. The pay is base pay + hourly pay. The min guarantee for KA guys is around 35k but they can make as much as 45k. Turnover is quite high which is why they require a 1 yr contract
Actually, rents are a bit lower than that - but figure $1,200 p/m for a 1 bedroom. Concord is a little cheaper.
I've heard about this operation. Doesn't seem very appealing to me......$1500 p/m for a 6 day week, and about 10 hrs flight time. Better off instructing, logging PIC, and, dare I say it: making more money?
I paid 400 clams/month right in walnut creek at Park Regency so you can live there for a decent price.
Now, my opinion on Aerosmith is that they are one of the worst companies to work for in CA sitting right seat. I never worked there but I know plenty of people who got involved with that company. They manipulate, use, and abuse you. You will never build time there nor ever make any money.
If you can get hired as a Captain, then things are a little better there. Its not worth moving out to the creek from some other state to work at Scarosmith.
I still remember one of their king airs crashing off the end of runway 32 in Concord awhile back dam near killing a lady in her car as the nose gear pummeled through her car.
