Advice Requested on Wireless Phones

Not sure how many places you traveled to with your phone, but I've been all over the country and Cingular by far is the best service. I've been with crews who've had Verizon and Sprint, and they didn't work in some places that my phone did. Sprint by far is the worst, unless you plan on using it within a major metro area only. Cingular has the largest digital network in the nation. I would def. go with Cingular or Verizon. Only thing I don't like about Verizon (when I had them) is there customer service is not so well, specially if you walk into their stores, and the variety of phones suck, besides how much they charge you if you want a new phone.

What I would do in your case would be to get a phone from the different companies and try it out to see who you like the most. Most companies will allow you to cancel the contract within 30, no questions asked. Try it before you buy it kinda deal.

Sounds like you have had all of them. I have no problem with converage an my sprint phone. Worked more places then my Cingular phone. I pay sprint 5 extra bucks a month to get unlimited roaming. Again, no problems. Cingular is a horrible company, and have had NO problems since I left them. Again they are the worst. Look at any consumer reports they will tell you that Verizon is the best. Cingular sucks in every catagory. Anyone who believed that when they and AT&T merged that there was going to be better coverage I guess didn't realize that if you had a Cingular phone you were either on their network or someone elses. So really the service didn't get any better. Because you were already using them in the first place!!

Cingular sucks.

I've got the Motorola E815. I got it last fall after my 2 year contract was up with Verizon. This is my third 2 year contract with Verizon and I'm very happy with them. I've never used another carrier, so I have no basis for comparison, but like I said, I'm very happy with Verizon and I've heard more bad things about the other carriers.

The E815 is a nice phone. Along with the usual camera, speakerphone (which works very well, people on the other end of the call usually can't tell when I am using it) and other tools, it has a slot for a mini SD card to hold music, more photos, etc. It recognizes MP3's (but not WMA's), and even though the menus and management of playlists leaves alot to be desired, it can be used as an MP3 player. My only complaint is the Motorola charger plug. It seems so weak and cheesy compared to my old Kyocera phone.

I've got the Motorola E815 and haven't even began to use all the features, so I can't tell you much about the bling...

Speakerphone, great audio quality, and good reviews.
