I'm being offered a position flying a 421 and doing a significant amount of office work as well. Perfect for me since Ive got a family but love to fly. I'll spend a lot of nights at home. This would be a full time position with a company that I have a great repoir with. I'm curious what some of you think would be a fair salary.

I was offered 45K to fly a CE340 Full Time a couple of years ago Part 91 (no benefits), with no Office work. The owner knew he had to pay decent if he wanted to keep his Pilot (new aircraft owner). And I would be able to moonlight on the side.

I ended up accepting another position, however, I flew contract for him on numerous occasions and he paid 400 day.

Will you be going to School on the Plane? Make sure the owners pay for it.

While I don't disagree with what is posted, you do not really give a clear picture of the position. How much flying are you going to do? What type office work are you to do?
The good thing is that you seem to already know the company and think well of them. It also fits your lifestyle.
All of these things should be figured in.

You're a pilot. If you want to be an office worker go watch office space and get your fill that way. No telling what the owner is going to have you do. Work in the office all day and fly in the afternoon.

I'd tell him thanks but no thanks. If he wants a pilot he wants a pilot. He just wants to be able to use you because he thinks flying an airplane is easy.

Its your choice but your a pilot first.... he is just trying to take advantage of you.

Change you name to Mr Miagi (wax on wax off), Or Mr. Mom (can you pick up my kids) or Alice (would you mind picking up a bit).

Do you understand what you are getting into?

Amen brotha'
Do you want to be a pilot or do want to be in the back?
Choose and live with it. You can't be good at both at the same time.
