Advice on Coming to Avantair or Flightoptions?

Looking for some insight on which of these frac company's (Avantair or Flightoptions)
would be the best fit.....I really like the fact that both company's have an ATL base...I would consider Netjets but I Do not have any plans to leave Atlanta..........I understand Avantair has a ton of growth projected w/ the VLJ market.......I also think that all the growing pains w/ Flightoptions will subside now that their Teamsters....Currently just putting in my time doing the Regional thing? Any Advice?

Citationshares and Avantair have ATL pilot domiciles. Not sure about FLOPS - but I know many people who are very unhappy at FLOPS. That situation may get worse. I would get the minimum time and then look at Citationshares and Avantair if you really want to stay in ATL.

Actually heard on the road they we may be hiring again in a month or two..guess everyone left so fast that we need ppl. Who knows..just the rumor mill spinning here...

FLOPS hiring: now that is funny

FLOPS hasn't hired for a very long time. I am still hearing we are soooooo overstaffed with pilots that they are still forcing vacations on pilots. There are only two kinds of pilots at FLOPS; Those that are unhappy and those that are pissed. Every pilot I know is looking for another place for employment.

Im still trying to figure out how "mandatory Vacation" and being overstaffed have any thing to do with each other.

Ps: I still have 2 more mandatory vacations to do

If they were short crews, having to charter 45% of the flights for lack of crews and 55% of company aircraft sitting around idly would there still be "mandatory vacations"?

Answer: More than likely.

We were told from the beginning that the forced vacations were necessary to get a huge liability off the books. It just seemed to morph into a story that it was necessary to help avoid a furlough. Oh, by the way, just got my vacation denial today. Man, reminds me of the good ol' days. I guess that means a forced vacation is in my future!
