Advice needed. AWA interview questions

Here's a couple:

1)Shortly after takeoff out of PHX the door light comes on. The checklist says to continue on but the Captain wants to return and land overweight. What do you do?

2)You notice the Captain smells like alcohol one hr. prior to departure.


Does AWA's "employee manual" mention anything about what to do if alcohol abuse is suspected in such cases?

What will be some reasonable responses?

Confront him and then if he confesses, give him the option to call the professional standards committee to self-report, making sure that you follow up to see that he makes the call. If he denies, call the professional standards commitee and ask them what you should do. You can always call in sick to buy some time. Whatever you do, do not let him fly. That's what I'd say at an interview. On-line may be different.
