It looks as if I add a ses rating to my cfi ticket, I would be able to instruct ses as well... Am I off base?

Nope, that's legit. Just take your SES checkride to commercial standards, and you get privilages to instruct in it... However, would it be safe to do so with maybe 10 hours of float time??? Probably not. Use it wisely...

WOW, That was fast.
I wouldn't want to jump into trying to teach it with just a few hours...
Thanks

Ahhh it's easy, just remember two things-

Stick full back when landing on water, and
Land with the gear up in the water!

I've seen a video with a Cessna amphib landing in the water gear down with a prompt somersault... anybody have it anywhere? I think I saw it on Funniest Home Videos (Bob Saget is my idol)

That is a video I would like to see. YIKES!
Any other ses lessons or tips anyone can share?
I am thinking of going to Kenmore Air in Seattle. Any Thoughts?
Thanks again
