So are the normal flight instructors going on strike? Or is this for some other purpose. Hell of a thing to write in an ad

Does anyone know what the ads were like for the Northwest "replacement" mechanics? Was there wording like this?

I think they should be bombarded with responses. Just think if thousands of resumes were submitted by people who had no intent of taking the job but just wanted to consume their resources.
You have to give them credit for being forthright in their ad by saying it was for potential striker replacements.

ad

I'm glad that this add caught others attention and I wasn't the only pilot offended. It made me sick when I saw it. I don't know if they are advertising for students regarding airline strikes or their own instructors striking, please post if anyone finds out. However, one wouldn't be better than the other. Anyone that would go to this place after an ad like that is a very low human being.

I agree there should be a response from the pilot community regarding this add.

Wasn't it during the Continental strike where a bunch of furloughed United pilots took the offers to be replacement pilots, only to walk out right before it all started?

:angryfireNow if this does'nt P@SS OFF every pilot out there I don't know what will. Now they are trying to replace instructor pilots. It looks like they have finally made it all the way down to where we all start! Give Em Hell boys, this place SUCKS!!~!

Who are they replacing?

I don't see why you guys get yourselves all worked up and so pissed off about it. It's not the first time, nor the last a company will do this. So quit acting like it's the first time you have seen an ad like this.
Yes, it's a load of crap and the owners should be shot. All you need to do is keep from sending your own resume in and you'll be ok. Just make a list about these guys.

I would put the link, but it is a pay site and I am not suppose to copy and paste ads about job openings. If you are truly curious PM me and I will let you know what site.

Which you just did...................................what difference does it make now? I've tried looking up their website and can find nothing about job openings (as in it says there are none). My curiosity gets piqued when they post openings on a pay site and not on their web site. Does make one wonder, no?

AF

The ad is real. It's on planejobs.com and was posted 4/11/06. You have to be a member to see it.

But being owned by Lufthansa means everything

(I know, they are not owned by Lufthansa)

So, this job makes ‘some’ of you sick, huh.

Move on people, move on!

Simply move on!

Funny you talk with one side of the mouth about your integrity and not wanting others to apply for this job, but almost all of you take instructions from thousands of Air Traffic Controllers on minute-by-minute basis…yep, same controllers who came in as replacements of tens of thousands who went on strike…I’m sure all of you ‘stand up’ pilots know what year that was. So, I find it incredibly strange that your morals stop at a very ‘convenient’ point.

If anything…you guys should be working at abolishing unions and working with the management. And please feel free to write down every thing your major and regional unions have done that is not done at the non-union outfits.
Move on, kids…time to move on.

Live and let live!

Remember, in the end those who provide the employment would dictate. When all is said and done…you will all be standing in line trying to get the same job that someone else left due to strike.

And this ‘scab’ title that you have come up with. It’s so ‘weak’. It’s nothing but an arrogance on your part…telling others not to do something because it would directly or indirectly affect you…why should anyone listen to you…if I have to put food on my table…I will…last thing I will ever think of is whether your pay decreases due to my action. Do you even pay any attention to what you guys talk about when you talk about your strange language about so-called ‘scabs’…each one of you sounds so arrogant…if someone wants to take up a job that someone else left voluntarily…why in this world you have a problem with that…do you even think for a moment why NWA, Delta, Comair, XJ, etc. pilots all decided to accept whatever management threw at them…do you? Because they knew that there are thousands of pilots standing in line waiting…and those very Unions that you ‘loud’ have done nothing….nothing. So, in your own ignorant and strange way…you can all stand and thump your chests…but in the end…you’d do what the management will tell you to do…union or no union…so….now…take it easy…let others live.

Move on!

Yea they went on strike an ILLEGAL STRIKE, they got led to the sluaghter by Robert Poli. Even companies in this day of age that go on strike still keep working their government contracts. It is the law. If your dumb enough to ignore laws you deserve what you get.

I just threw up a little in my mouth. You should study a little airline history there, FlyBunny. There are about 8 decades of reasons why this industry is unionized.

FlyBunny.....What are you, like, 12 years-old?! Go read Flying The Line.
Your profile says you're in general aviation. PLEASE, kid.......stay there! Do NOT join us trying to make a living in the professional realm!
You are pathetic!
