A question concerning 121 ops: Has anyone heard of the FAA interpreting an accumulation of snow to be equal to an adheration of snow as it relates to de-ice. Situation: -18c with light snow that is not adhering do you need to de-ice..
"Situation: -18c with light snow that is not adhering do you need to de-ice.."
The answer per my company procedures is de/anti icing is required anytime that precipitation is falling, frost is active, or frozen contamination could blow on the critical surfaces before takeoff.
