Well I was trying to post the TA, but it won't allow me to highlight & copy it to this message. Anyone know another way to put a .pdf message on this board?

I'm too lazy to re-type the important info and not computer savvy enough to figure out how to by-pass the security...

I was wondering when someone would try to post it. Our Negotiating committee averted a major disaster and rejuvenated out pilot group and unity. Way to go ACO!

Glad to see narrowbody rates above Frontier's and AWA current rates. Still the second highest paid CRJ rates (good job Comair on staying first). Our 32 seat rates are better than mesa's 50 seat rates. Plus decent profit sharing and a variety of other protections.

Now its time to get the message out to the investors that we want to give everything we have to this new airlines, and that we will not let jonathen orenstien rape our pilot group.

Unfortunately I think that this TA is a disgrace to the LCC industry.

Sure, if you compare it to AWA and Frontier rates it is fairly good...but those airlines should be getting new contracts with significant raises any year now.

Even if you average out all the LCC's like ATA, AirTran, JBLU, SWA, etc., these book values are significantly below the average LCC wage.

And, why do the CRJs, etc., take a pay cut? Totally unnecessary. As with the UAL TA a few months ago, Tom Moore and Kerry Skeen will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Datafox,

Our work rules are widely accepted as some of the best going. The rates that you mention are hardly laughable. We STILL maintain the 2nd highest CRJ pay structure. This is a 4 yr deal unlike many others.

LUV, JBLU, AAI, & ATA have all been successfully launched Pre 9-11 ....and, with the exception of JBLU are well into subsequent contracts. Remember, ACA is attempting to transform itself, literally overnight into its own brand. Our situation is tumultuous, at best. The pilots of Atlantic Coast know that this business venture is the best option for our shareholders, customers, & fellow employees. This contract allows for competitive rates while we negotiate through this incubation period. If profitable, we will be rewarded handsomely with a margin based bonus structure. It’s truly a win/win situation.

Ask yourself this question: How often does a pilot group rally around their senior management?

O.K., I have to admit you do make some valid points. However, I see no reason to cut the J-41, CRJ and FRJ pay while some of the chosen few dinosaurs get significant raises.

I guess I'm still just fedup with the negotiating committee since the previous TA.

Datafox,

You are speaking to someone who was DEAD AGAINST the United TA. This is a whole different matter that, unlike the past TA, has tremendous upside for everyone on the property. Besides, the nation's 5th largest travel market (DC) is crying out for stimulation. I also believe that "project Goldilocks" will eventually get our furloughed guys recalled.

Right now the biggest debate seems to be the method of ratification. I have no preference other than expedience. We need to send a message to our institutional investors that we are unified with our Board of Directors.

If you analyze the TA carefully, you'll see that it essentially locks the current 'green book' rates for a period of a year. You won’t see any rate modifications until the 1st revenue flight of the LCC.

This is really not a biggie.

Datafox,

I’m a S/W/M....just turned thirty....and will likely hold the left seat of the narrowbody. Are those the characteristics of a dinosaur these days?

I am with CMR, not ACA.

I looked at your Summary of the new TA. As always, the devil is in the details (and I don't know the details of your UAL TA or of this one), but on the surface, and particularly considering the difficulties your Company currently faces, IMO, your NC has done a good job and this appears to be a reasonable agreement.

I wish you all the very best and sincerely hope you can stave off the attack from MASG.

Surplus1,

You guys over at Comair have our outmost professional respect. It’s truly a compliment especially considering what you endured during your last round of negotiations. We wish you guys all the best.

Blueridger,

Although we may disagree on TA language, your graphic logo is excellent! At least we can agree on something.

In solidarity,

What's this? ACA lowering the bar? I thought only Mesa was allowed to....

And you sir, have MY utmost respect over such a nice avatar ;)

We at ACA may have taken a 3% cut, but we are still second only to CMR in pay. I would hardly call that lowering the bar (especially when our 32 -seat rates are higher than Mesa's 50-seat rate.) As far as narrowbody rates, we are -- in essence -- starting a brand new airline with 13-year seniority pilots, and you gotta compete. At a top end pay of $140 an hour, I see us in the middle of the pack. We'll raise the bar in 2007.

This sends a signal to the industry that the pilots are behind the LCC venture and dead set against a Mesa takeover. We want to save our airline from being acquired by Wal-Mart.

The NC did an outstanding job.

I think you guys did ok. I really hope it works out for you and JO gets what he deserves. Good luck!

ill tell you one thing that needs stimulating in the dc area is the lcc market and blueridgeflyers avatar rrrrarararararrraaa!!!

According to the ALPA Research Center, CRJ-700 CA rates at Horizon are slightly higher than Comair's, FO rates are slightly below Comair's.
