According to sources at ABX Air, they are supposed to park an additional 40 aircraft next year in addition to the 20 or so to be parked this year as part of the hub consolidation. Union officials say that the pilot group could shrink to around 3-400 when everything shakes out. Plus ABX just renegotiated it's hub services agreement with DHL to run the ILN hub for an additional year. But they had to lower their cost plus provision to a measly 1.25%. Speculation there is that ABX could be trying to get out of flying entirely and become a strictly ground hub/sort operator for DHL.
