You give me too much credit

Hey Bobby--Actually I hadn't even thought it out that far. I just saw an opportunity for a cheap shot and I took it--I'm not proud:cool:

Riddle?

wasn't on your list but ERAU DAB and Prescott.

spoken from an alum. Sorry....But Riddle is the best!

Riddle sucks. I know so many people who went there and spent their parents money. Most of them thought they could by pass the cfi route since they claimed all these bridge programs. This is just an example of another school claiming to sell you something that doesnt exist. A flight school is just a flight school no matter where you go. Personally, I think it would be better to go to a non aviation school so there is at least some girls and not all dorky pilots all the while saving alot of money. My 2 cents.

GO FIGHTING SIOUX!

Now, wait a minute . . . . .

No, Riddle does not suck. It sucks no more, or no less, than any other school. ERAU, U.N.D., Purdue, Cochise, Southeast Oklahoma State, Auburn, etc., all provide decent educations and flight training.

What people do need to be careful of is the hype. The hype about bridge programs indeed creates false expectations. But that doesn't necessarily mean that Riddle et al sucks. ERAU indeed offers excellent internships. So do U.N.D. , Purdue, etc. The internships are stepping stones.

"B.S. in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle: $100,000. The airline contacts you made from that internship you obtained from ERAU: Priceless."

B.S. in Aviation Science from Ohio University: $30,000. The airline contacts you made from that internship at OU: errr.... what internship??

ERAU

IF YOU WENT TO ERAU, SPENT YOUR PARENTS MONEY, I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO BACK AND ASK FOR A REFUND. I have plenty of friends that went there, spent some $200,000 for a @##$^&*() degree and can't find a job flying! Back in the days when I went to school, I went to the small town university (SPENT 30 GRAND NOT 100) and I found a job right after graduation, found two airline jobs to be specific. I heard from some HR people that if you have ERAU on your resume, it went straight to the circular file.

Your parents are spending that money for one thing THE NAME. SIMPLY PUT, ERAU GRADUATES HAVE AN ATTITUDE THAT SUCKS. I hate to fly with them as well. I give them all the work. I LIKE TO SEE THEM SWEAT.

Agreed!

You can always tell when you get one of these in the jumpseat. They always have an answer for everything.

i have the best of both worlds. I attend Auburn University in AL which is a normal non aviation college that happens to have an excellent flight program that is one of the oldest and most respected in the nation. People generally just hear about the same ole ones such as ERAU and UND but there are others out there. Besides everyone knows you cant be the GRITS (girls raised in the south) . WE have our own aiport owned by the university and the training is good stuff.

Military? Why? You will fly a couple hundred hours your first years, then you wil be behind a desk the rest!
