I was wondering if anyone knows the jumpseat policy for some of the larger careers. how many do they take etc....

NW takes two offliners in the back. NW pilots get first dibs, then Pinnacle/Mesaba, then anyone else with reciprical agreements.

AA,

As many as there are jumpseat in the cockpit. 1 ior 2.

AA pilots first,

AE next

Offline

Have been hearing that TSA that operates as American Connection has the next seat after Eagle. Not sure.

To many people (layers) to get to the cockpit jumpseat these days.

P.S. Flew a chataqua pilot to SJU out of JFK the other day. I had to tun back and get him. The agent supervisor came down and said a guy with a USAirways Express uniform came up with a Chataqua ID. She said she had never heard of them and said he couldn't have the jumpseat.

I told the captain who he was. Captain was local who does not commute and does not keep abreast of our industry. Ran up and grabbed the guy and got him on.

All this and now they want to tax us for the hassle... I mean privelage of jumpseating.
