AA jumpseat to/from Canada

im looking at going from chicago to montreal today or tomorrow to visit some friends possibly. i have heard that AA has separate domestic/international jumpseat agreements. i was just wondering if canada is considered international as far as jumpseating on AA/AE, or is going from the states to canada the same as jumping domestic in the us. thanks.

I JSed on AA from YOW do DFW a few weeks ago. No problems at all. Just a $25US tax.
