AA/AE Jumpseat

I recently heard the AA will now take unlimited off-line jumpseaters. Can anyone confirm this? I was also wondering if that was true will Eagle follow?

Eagle has been taking unlimited jumpseaters since at least November, dunno about AA though. Might I suggest United get off their a$$ and follow suit?

Unlimited on AA for approved carriers only as far as I know.

Ya for carriers on a special super secret list. This has been a sore subject as they are not giving it to XJET even though we allow them.

Just jumped on AA today.....unlimited jumpseat is only for the select few on their list. Everyone else is still limited and I think AE works the same way. Got denied there cause the jumpseat was already taken, eventhough there were seats in the back. The gate agent at AA can give you the non rev number to list.

Yes, XJET is unlimited for our list of 121 carriers (includes everyone basically)

Unlimited for those on the list of reciprocating airlines with unlimited ..... if your airline isn't on the list, talk to your jumpseat coordinator---the list is pretty easy to ammend, and its most likely an oversight somewhere that you arent.

Has AMR loosened their death grip on the jumpseat to allow offline dispatchers a ride in the back, like every other carrier in the industry does?

where did you hear this about Eagle? they follow mother AA, which is unlimited for the "listed" few.

I'm not the sharpest tool in the box, but a captain told every jumpseater we had that Eagle takes as many seats as we have open. He's been around forever so I just took it at face value. Maybe everyone who jumpseated with us for two weeks was with those carriers, I don't recall.

Unlimited for reciprocating carriers. They also have reciprocal unlimited Flight Attendant jumpseat agreements with select carriers as well.

Eagle has taken multiple jumpseaters prior to this new list....its always a question of getting past the gate agent and getting the computer to take everyone.....easier to do at outstations than hubs, but I have seen it both places.

Many of the captains at Eagle would take off-line plane cleaners as jumpseaters if they could get past the gate agent.

Eagle uses the exact same jumpseat lists as AA.

There are basically three jumpseat lists, the standard jumpseat list, CASS carriers, and the jumpseat list with carriers to allow unlimited offline jumpseaters. Your carrier does not automatically get on this list, you must get a seperate recipricol agreement approved.
