You don't "re-name" an aircraft to compete with another.

Looks just like an A330 to me.

Still hoping for the A380 to go t1ts up.
 
I believe it is an A-330 that has R/R Trent 1000 engines off of the 7E7.

Efficient engines are just one part of the 7E7's efficiency, though. This might just show that Airbus is concerned that there may indeed be a market for a highly-efficient replacement for the aging 767/A300/A-330 fleets.
