As another benefit of ALPA membership, the National Security Committee provides an outstanding planning tool to help determine the safety and security of your worldwide destinations. The resource is called “World Watch,” an all-inclusive, continually updated intelligence database that contains real-time information for more than 180 countries and major cities around the globe.
The recently introduced World Watch version 6.0 features city and national histories, and it charts current threat-level information. The program provides maps displaying high-risk areas, discusses current events and activities, and is an excellent reference tool for any pilot looking for information about a domestic or international layover.
World Watch has many useful features, including but not limited to:
  • In-depth risk forecasting and analysis (political and security)
  • Digital maps
  • Real-time alerts
  • Detailed and continuous coverage of breaking events
  • Threat-level ratings
  • Country and city profiles
  • Essential travel and cultural data
  • Business information and demographics
  • Local law enforcement capabilities
  • Transportation concerns and safety
  • Detailed airport information
  • 365-day security events database
  • Calendar of significant dates
  • Issues for female travelers
  • Local restrictions
  • Aviation issues
  • Medical and health information
To access World Watch 6.0, log on to Crewroom.alpa.org, click on the Committees tab, then click on the National Security Committee link. From there, click on the World Watch Global Security Info icon on the left side of the page. Access via the NSC website is the only way to obtain World Watch’s premium content.

Is is just me or does anyone else feel like all ALPA has done since the US Airways mess is campaign to the rest of us why we shouldn't dump them?

There are those ready to dump ALPA....

There are those ready to re-define ALPA and make it a workable organization.....

There are those who don't value ALPA in terms of everyday or status quo... such as a citizen not appreciating police or fire services....

My question to you is.....

If you are ready to dump ALPA what is your alternative?

1. Nothing. The Professional Air Line Pilot needs no representation.

2. Create a new democratic representation structure.

3. Redefine ALPA so it serves a majority of its members.

..........so alpa's website has a link to CNN and some varius govt. travel websites.

wonder if prater will vote himself a pay increase because of the "new" service.

More evidence to back up what I was saying...
