What kind of badge are you talking about? I always travel non-rev in uniform so the TSA goons won't rumage through my bag and take my toothpaste that has more than 4 oz. As for an ID - how else do you get to the front of the line without displaying it? If the flight is a long one I might change out of the "goon suit" and get comfortable.

BTW - A tool is a kook who wears his uniform outside of work or while driving to work. Nothing worse than seeing a guy/gal in Costco in full uniform. Just LAME!!

I wear shirt w/out bars, pants and shoes until I get to the security and then throw on the bars and clip-on tie. I get through secirity and take the tie back off until I leave the crew room. I live by the rule - "No ties outside of country." I'm not "proud" to wear the uniform. I'd wear a clown suit if that's what they paid me for - but I wouldn't wear it until the clock started ticking.
