I've been reading this board for a long time but only recently registered to post. The reason is to counter some rampant negativity from a few others.

My school is really busy, employing 22 "fulltime" CFI's. I started there in June 2003. Since then, we've lost 8 CFI's, hired 4 new ones and are picking up 2 more this month. Five CFI's went to 135 operators with one of the five having only C-208's. Two went to Ameriflight and one to Horizon. Most of these guys had between 1000-1400 TT. The exception was the guy that went to Horizon (2200 TT).

We've had an additional 4 CFI's get interviewed recently but not get job offers (Ameriflight, Mesa, Skywest). The moral of the story: Everything is going to be OK. In the immortal words of Robert Plant, "you're time is gonna come".:p

Where are you located? I'm looking for CFI work in the SLC area. PM me if by some miracle you are located there. Thanx.

same kind of movement being seen at many flt schools, including where I work (Sierra Academy)

Well thankyou.........My instructor was one of the ones who was just hired by Ameriflight........I'm in the process of finding a new instructor and since I've done my training in the seminole since my private, they have all been bombarding my instructor.
