At SWA, you lose pass privileges while on extended mil leave above 29 days I think (they actually want your ID back if you can believe that)

My buddy went on mil leave for about 5 months during his first year (schoolhouse training)...kept his ID and jumpseated a few times as well.

I was able to keep my ID and pass privileges during my MIL leave (a few months). There are a few other pilots I know (one for sure) that was able to get a new ID because their ID expired while on leave.

Now, I will say, the company policy (what I was given) is a little ambigious with MIL leave. A lot is outdated with respect to USERRA it seems. We'll see what the future holds.
 
At SkyWest I was able to keep my travel/jumpseat privileges during 4 months of MIL leave. I talked to my CP and was able to pick up a trip here and there while on MIL leave as well
