Kudos to you man, in a way I can't believe what I'm reading.
Did you have a life changing experience or something along the lines?

Well, let's just say that FC and I started speaking via PM and we weren't fighting. Suddenly, everything he was saying just clicked and I thought, "Why didn't I talk to him sooner?"

Sometimes we get so wrapped around things we can't see them clearly. Talking to him just made the lightbulb go on.

I'm rather embarrassed by the whole thing, as I should be. I dunno, it was like being insane to be fighting so much with people I like. He showed a willingness to listen and it all sprang from there...

I was taking criticism of my airplane personally, too. Very stupid thing to do.
 
Now now ERJ - let's not lay on the praise to Falcon Capt *too* thick...the guy just got typed in the Gulfstream. We let his head get any bigger, and it won't fit through the door! ;)

And I just got a haircut. Besides, if you ever get to meet me, you'll realize that I'm looking to keep what hair I have left!

Cool man, good for you. Nothing wrong with liking your airplane too much though, I drive the WSCOD to and like it a lot, but in some aspects it is a POS. (It's a cheap airplane, so that's expectd)

All in all a good bird, but yes, there are things they could do to improve it. They have shown a willingness to do so. Hopefully that will continue. It pays my bills and has air conditioning so I can't complain! :)

I'm not worried about his head as much as his gut. This guy talks about BBQ a *LOT*. :)

The real question after getting the type is...has his walk across the ramp changed. He should be doing the "Gulfstream Glide" now!

No Helas, I did not. Don't worry, it makes me laugh, too. :) (Besides, if I had done anything the rumors say I'd still be unemployed!)

Wife and kids... They're fine - couldn't be better. Thanks for asking.

So then what were you doing with the FA in the jetway? I'm curious about this. And if you really don't have a story, at least make up some sh!t just to make us feel better. ;)
 
Sorry. Wish I had a better story to tell but I was really just down there taking a nap (which I got written up for BTW - more poor judgment on my part I guess). She was BSing with her boyfriend on the phone. I have no clue how the rumor got going (I had five witnesses that backed me up). Even the gal who wrote me up clarified her statement by denouncing the rumor in a second statement. The Company didn't do much to squelch it (Fellow workers are not inclined to stand behind an unsympathetic soul are they?) and it wasn't until Arbitration that they fessed up and denounced the rumor.


It is positively hysterical (and potentially career-threatening - as if my big mouth isn't enough trouble already! :) ).

It still persists...

*shrug*

Thanks. No, I don't smoke, and you didn't see me in EWN (sorry, but I swear I am telling the truth). I've been off since the 5th! :) Watch for me on TV though. I'm going to try and get down to KSAT to see the Spurs win the NBA title baby! :) I'll be the dorky guy screaming his lungs out behind Al Michaels. (Just kidding. I'll just be a dorky guy.)

Skull absolutely knew I meant nothing by it, just an inside joke, he is an outspoke guy who got a target on his back by not just management, by the brotherly pilots as well, the kind of guys who give impossible checkrides and ridiculous orals, and sometimes delete post. trust me I have read more of his post than you can imagine..

I hope it was a joke, but there are so many folks out there who think it is funny to try and destroy a guy's career by spreading this kind of rumor around that one can't be too careful. You are correct about the target on my back, though. The sad part is I got that bullseye standing up for some of the same guys who chase me around the internet trashing me. No good deed goes unpunished. :)
 
Mmm... I've been gone for a few months and see LegacyDriver's posts of apology... now, I'm curious what it was for?? I MUST'VE MISSED A HELLUVAN INTERESTING DEBATE/DISCUSSION !!!

I'm not gonna ask you all to explain, cuz that would make me the stupid one for even asking... I'm just going to read beyond the first posts to find out... now that I have several days off, I'm kickin back in bed to R E A D !!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep in mind that LegacyDriver, LegacyIIDriver & ERJ-140 are all the same person (who are all Skull-One)... The apology should come to light after reading all that with that nugget of information...
