Saw an ad on climbto about a CEO needed for Family Airlines. I went to the website to check it out.. www.familyairlines.com Only planes they have are 747's that will fly only these routes. L.A to N.Y, N.Y to Miami, L.A to Vegas and L.A to Honolulu. Prices ranging from 249 to 49$.

Thye have been luking in the background for a couple of years now. Don't think they have any aircraft or a certificate yet but who knows, in this business anything is possible.

B747-400

If you read their business model you will see that the only aircraft they discuss is the -400. I guess the photo's are simply a come on as they appear to be of a -200 or perhaps even a -100 Classic. I would bet that the whole photo presentation is phony as they cleverly mask the N number on the side of the aircraft.

Looks like some virtual airline weenie taking it to the next level. We had a f/a at my last job who was "starting" an airline. Unbelievably he received a stack of resumes from pilots. His plan was avro jets and heavies to cross the pond.

Pretty sure Family Airlines has been around since the demise of Eastern/ Pan Am. Was to be a Kiwi type pilot owned operation out of EWR.

Apparently the remains are recently being warmed over in the new century .

Never got off the ground then and looks to be the same now.

Flying a 744 on domestic is a sure winner... TC

They just hired Lowcur as CEO.

It's going to be an all ERJ190 fleet in 3 class configuration:

1st, coach, and office cubicle

Do a google search on the dude who started Family Airlines years ago. Can't remember his name, but was quite the con artist & spent time in prison, partly for defrauding pilots who were stupid enough to invest in their own company whose business plan included using a 747 like an RJ...
